2010 was a great year for music. I hope you enjoyed the stuff I brought to you in the past 52 weeks. Most of my favourite bands released records and I got to catch most of them live. I’m still disappointed that mewithoutYou cancelled their date here and MuteMath skipped it, although that did mean that I was spared having to listen to 30 Seconds to Mars. I’m not going to approach the show as a top 10 format or spend a lot of time detailing why I liked the music I liked. Just know that my vote is for Shad’s TSOL for album of the year and probably The National’s Afraid of Everyone for song of the year.
There’s also a parental warning on the last track. It contains a lot of profanity. So when you get to it, please plug in your headphones or, if you’ve recently been dumped, crank it up and sing along. There is an audible warning, so please listen to it if you’re in a public place, I’m not joking about this. I try to keep most of the music pretty clean that I play, but this song was just too good to pass up.
Here’s what I was listening to in 2010:
Girl Talk – On and On from “All Day”
Shad – Rose Garden from “TSOL”

Bad Religion – The Resist Stance from “The Dissent of Man”
