Christmas is coming. One month today will be the time when people of all faiths get together to worship Jesus, or so says Bart Simpson. I’ve got lots of Christmas music lined up, but not today. I’ve got one more show for you before going into Christmas mode. I heard stories of people starting up with the Christmas music as soon as Hallowe’en passed. For me that’s way too early. There’s only so many times you can hear different renditions of Silent Night before wanting to pierce your ear drums so you didn’t want to hear it anymore.
I’ve got some preview tracks for you from some highly anticipated albums. Crystal Castles, Seryn and Mogwai all have albums coming out soon that I’m really looking forward to you. Thankfully they’ve posted some preview tracks to allow you to start building the hype and anticipation for the full release. This is a frustrating time for me. If the album is done, I’d just like to hear it. I don’t want to have to wait until some arbitrarily selected Tuesday for them to officially release something. If it’s done, let me hear it. Here are those details and everything else you’re hearing this week:
Crystal Castles – Not In Love (featuring Robert Smith) (Download it here.)
Cadillac Sky – Wish I Could Say I Was Drinking from “Blind Man Walking”
Seryn – We Will All Be Changed from “This Is Where We Are” (Download it here.)
Say Hi – Devils from “Um, Uh Oh” (Download it here.)
Group of Seven – O Kanada from “Canuck” (Download it here.)
Jose Gonzalez – Heartbeats from “Veneer”
Jason Lytle – Brand New Sun from “Yours Truly, The Commuter”
Mogwai – Rano Pano from “Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will” (Download it here.)
Thanks for listening and I’ll see you next week.
