Computer issues suck. After nearly 5 years of flawless perfection, my old Toshiba laptop packed it in this week. Now it wasn’t that unexpected. The battery lost its ability to hold a charge almost a year ago but it held up surprisingly well. I was a little sad this week when it suddenly refuse to power on. Based on my out of date troubleshooting IT skills, it might’ve just been an issue that the transformer decided to stop supplying the machine with power, but with the laptop’s age, I had already been considering a new purchase. So this is my first episode that I’ve curated from my brand new machine. I think that I’ve got everything set up properly. I was able to rescue my digital music collection and iTunes library from the old machine. Thank God for laptop hard drive enclosures. It took about 20 minutes to get the library imported and it had to erase everything off my iPod and re-copy it all, but I had that part up and running in no time. I was thinking that I might miss this week if I couldn’t get it running but here I am on another Thursday with some more great music for you. You’re welcome. Anyway, here’s what you’re hearing this week:
Pixies – Monkey Gone To Heaven (live) from “Doolittle 20th Anniversary Live Sampler” (Download it here.)
