This week’s podcast is a little different. I’ve been working on a mix CD for a mixtape exchange. Essentially a group of people get together and agree to do this. Everyone burns n-1 copies of their mix and sends them to the co-ordinating person. That person then creates packages and mails each person a collection of everyone else’s mixes. This concept intrigued me, so I thought that I’d participate. Being the only Canadian in the exchange, I thought I’d centre my mix around Canadian bands and themes. Of course, since I’m limited to a CD, there’s only so many bands that I can put on there. I think it turned out pretty well, even if I didn’t get to include everything that I wanted. So enjoy 70 minutes of Canadian music. This is what you’ll be hearing:
Classified – Oh… Canada from “Self-Explanatory”
$100 – Fourteen Hour Day from “Forest of Tears”
The Schomberg Fair – Angel’s Wings from “Gospel”
