After putting together, I kind of realized that not everyone would be excited about a track from a band that worships Pearl Jam as much as Grammatrain. The sound has been done to death the last couple years by the likes of Nickelback. So, even though Grammatrain predates Nickelback, if you didn’t listen to them in the mid-90s, you’d think that they were derivative of that terrible band from Canada. But I can tell you, their just derivative of Pearl Jam. They came out of Seattle in the mid-90s, put out a couple albums and broke up. Recently, they got back together and recorded a tribute to Seattle’s new team in MLS, the Sounders. Unlike those terrible tracks that Adidas and MLS paid people to create a couple years ago, this song was created by a season ticket holder to pay tribute to his favourite team, so even if you don’t like the style, hopefully you can at least admire them for that. Here’s the rest of the tracklist this week:
Grammatrain – The Last Sound
Drive Til Morning – Orange & Tweed from “Drive Til Morning”
Dirty Projectors – Emblem Of The World from “Ascending Melody” 7″ (Download it here.)
She & Him – Thieves from “Volume Two”

Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings – Call On God from “I Learned The Hard Way”
Mumford & Sons – Awake My Soul from “Sign No More”

Thanks for listening and I’ll see you next week.
Jared
