So, how about those Winter Olympics? I was watching some of the women’s downhill and that was crazy. People pushing themselves so hard that they just completely wiped out. As I write this, I’m watching some short track speed skating. It’s insane. They had a relay on early and I always wondered how the next racers could always get in perfect position to take their turn. They move at fast speeds around tight corners with lots of traffic. It’s amazing that it doesn’t turn into a complete pile up more often.
Anyways, there’s a rather patriotic song kicking off the podcast this week. Not too many surprises, just some quality, quality music. Oh No Forest Fires are giving their EP away for free, so check that out. Le Pigeon is off a cool compilation of Toronto area bands called Friends of Bellwoods 2. Out of all the comps I listened to last year, only Dark Was The Night was better than it. Anyways, onto the playlist:
