So who is Eric Campuzano and why should I care? Sure he’s not a household name to you, but he’s played in three of my favourite bands and just released a song as part of new project. The Prayer Chain shaped a lot of my teenage years, Cush the tail-end of my University days and although it’s out of order chronologically, Lassie Foundation has soundtracked a lot of the last 5 years for me. So I was delighted to hear that he’s working on some new music. Northern Records just posted a single from a project called CampAndCastl that I’ve included for your listening pleasure this week. It’s a little bit different from his other work but still a rocking song.
I’ve been throwing my iPod on random lately and listening to what comes up. It’s reminded me of a lot of great music from the last couple years that I haven’t listened to in a while since I’ve been caught up pursuing new released, so I’ve included a few for your listening pleasure. Enjoy.
John Reuben – Make Money Money from “Word Of Mouth”
Telegram – Sleeping In from “We Look And See”
CampAndCastl – 4 Minute Mile from “CvsC”
Brian Fallon – Tin Pan Alley
Takka Takka – In The Air Tonight from “Guilt By Association Vol. 2″
The New Pronographers – Hey, Snow White from “Dark Was The Night”
Sufjan Stevens – Size Too Small from “Seven Swans”
The National – Daughters Of The Soho Riots from “Alligator”
The Weakerthans – Psalm For The Elks Lodge Last Call from “Reconstruction Site”
Thanks for listening and I’ll see you next week.
Jared
