Now that I’ve returned to adding audio narration to my show, I find that I’m struggling a little with what to write here. Sure there’s great new music from Spoon and Surfer Blood, but I’m not sure if I feel strongly enough about them to write something of any great substance here.
I guess the big news is that I’m featuring a couple songs that you can get from here: http://www.songsforhaiti.com Paste Magazine has gracious allowed access to their MP3 vault of rare and unreleased tracks in exchange for a donation to one of the charitable groups that’s working with Haiti. They have direct links for Red Cross and Doctors Without Borders, who are both great organizations that can definitely use the money outside of Haiti. So go, check it out and if you feel like it, donate and then download some great music. By the way, Wilco have also posted a couple shows for download in exchange for a suggested donation of $15 to Doctors Without Borders or Oxfam.
