I have a confession, I’ve never been a huge fan of Hallowe’en. Sure I enjoyed Trick-or-Treating as a kid but I grew out of that pretty quickly. Beyond a rather large party thrown my some housemates and I in my University days, I haven’t really celebrated the holiday in the last 15 years. While I enjoy a good (or terribly bad) B-rated Sci-Fi film, the idea of celebrating things like that doesn’t really appeal to me. I don’t really understand the desire of everyone to dress up as someone else only for one day during the year, I guess I must be dead inside. If people really enjoy this, why not do it more than once a year?
What does this have to do with my podcast and why am I going on this inane rant? Well, since Karim featured a Hallowe’en themed-track and as my inside information suggests that Tyrone is going to do a whole episode devoted to eerie music tomorrow, I thought I’d squeeze a couple tracks into my own show. I’ve wanted to use some more Blaster The Rocket Boy tracks and now I have an excuse. So enjoy.
Blaster The Rocket Boy – Ghouls Of The Night from “Succulent Space Food For Teething Vampires”
Jesse Sprinkle – Longing For The Ordinary from “Surrounded By Lights”
The Wooden Sky – Oslo from “If I Don’t Come Home You’ll Know I’m Gone”
Daniel Smith & Sufjan Stevens – Worried Shoes from “I Killed The Monster: A Tribute To Daniel Johnston”
Tiger Army – Afterworld from “Music From Regions Beyond”
The Gaslight Anthem – We Came To Dance from “Sink Or Swim”
Iron Horse – Ocean Breathes Salty from “Pickin’ On Modest Mouse”
Kevin & The Octaves – Monster Mash (Download it here.)
Thanks for listening and I’ll see you next week.

Thank you for not including “The Deadlines,” which I of course, have to start tomorrow’s podcast with. Christian goth rockabilly? Yes! Can’t say I’ve heard of “Blaster the Rocket Boy” before though.
