October 2009 has been a month of weddings. I go from never being “in” a wedding besides my own, to being in two wedding parties within the span of two weeks! (And co-STRer Jared is even in Manitoba for wedding related reasons to boot!) So to mark the occasion, I’ve dug up a CDR that I made as a “Soundtrack” to my own wedding from 2005, and gave out as party favours to our guests. I wish both these guys the best of luck with their weddings, and as always, my advice is simple: Always let her win.

This was our wedding entrance music, when the wedding parties walked down the aisle.

2. “Angel (solo recording)” by Jimi Hendrix

Following the Beatles, my wife walked down the aisle to this amazing rendition.

3. “The First Day of My Life” by Bright Eyes

I actually played this during the service… everyone thought I was crazy.

4. “In the Aeroplane Over the Sea” by Neutral Milk Hotel

5. “Red Right Ankle” by the Decemberists

6. “I Could Run Away” by 100 Portraits/Waterdeep

7. “One Big Holiday” by My Morning Jacket

This was our “recessional” to conclude the wedding service.

At the reception, this was the song that we “entered” to.
