Isn’t vacation great? I know I think so. Technically, I’ll have been back at work for a day or two by the time this goes to print (well, gets posted, I guess it doesn’t really go to print) but I put this together before I left so I didn’t have to worry about it. I know this doesn’t sound like me but every once in a while, I’m capable of planning ahead. Just don’t get used to it. At this time, I’ll probably be spinning the new MuteMath and Thrice albums a lot, so expect to see some tracks from these in the next couple weeks. I used Spotlight from the MuteMath album a number of episodes ago but I’m sure there’s something else on Armistice that’s worth using in the podcast. Onto the playlist:
Susanna Hoffs & Matthew Sweet – (What’s So Funny ‘Bout) Peace, Love & Understanding from “Under The Covers, Vol. 2″
Rainer Maria – Life Of Leisure from “Catastrophe Keeps Us Together”
The Rosebuds – El Camino from “The Rosebuds Unwind”
Michael Knott – Rocket & A Bomb from “Rocket & A Bomb”
Spoon – My Mathematical Mind from “Gimme Fiction”
twothirtyeight – Chase What Makes Your Heart Flutter from “Missing You Dearly”
This Dimishing West – Of Minor Prophets And Their Prostitute Wives from “Ninety-Seven Weeks”
Nada Surf – Imaginary Friends from “The Weight Is A Gift”
Thanks for listening and I’ll see you next week.

Yeah, didn’t I make a crack in the episode about it being bad? I really meant to replace it but it completely slipped my mind when I got back. At least the Elvis Costello cover seems to have been well received.
Although, now that I think about it, I’m not sure if I’ve ever heard a good cover of a Pedro The Lion song.

Maybe that’s because you never heard my recording of “Forgone Conclusions!”
