This is probably an episode that’s more suited to fall or winter but I’ve been wanting to put this particular episode together for a while. This is one of those episodes where you press play and sit down and read a book. Today’s episode is constructed entirely of post-rock and ambient music, interrupted only to allow me to signal you when the tracks are changing. This kind of disrupts the flow but one of the purposes of the podcast is to introduce you to music that you might not have heard and it’s tough to properly do that if you have no idea what you’re listening to. You might recognize Boards of Canada, Explosions In The Sky and Hammock from previous episodes but there are a couple more artists here that i’ve brought along to round out the episode. It’s a little longer than normal but since most tracks in these genres are 6-10 minute opuses, it’s tough to keep a short show together. So I hope you’ve got sometime set aside so you can just groove to the music. Here’s the tracklist:
