Good thing I had put this playlist together at the end of last week. I was out of town until last night, so I just took the playlist and threw it together. I think it worked out fairly well but you’ll have to forgive me if I’m a little off. I know I’m a little old, but I’ll always have a soft spot for VeggieTales. Sure, I’m well outside of their target demographic but how can you deny the genius of the two songs I’ve included this week:

Anyways, the rest is pretty awesome. I love that mewithoutYou album and can’t wait for it’s release. I love the addition of the Daniel Smith (of Danielson) as producer and has really taken their music to the next level. Anyways, here’s the rest of the playlist:

Miracle Drug – A.C. Newman from “The Slow Wonder”

The Pirates Who Don’t Do Anything – VeggieTales from “VeggieTunes 2″
His Cheeseburger – Tait from “VeggieRocks” – originally by VeggieTales
The Fox, The Crow & The Cookie – mewithoutYou from “It’s all Crazy! It’s All False! It’s All A Dream! It’s Alright!”

Tennessee – New Found Glory from “Punk Goes Crunk” – originally by Arrested Development
Where Is My Mind? – Nada Surf from “Where Is My Mind? A Tribute To The Pixies” – originally by Pixies
Sleep All Summer – St. Vincent and The National from “SCORE! 20 Years of Merge Records: THE COVERS!” – originally by Crooked Fingers
All The Way Down The Line – Joel Plaskett from “Three”

Nightswimming – You Say Party! We Say Die! from “Stereogum Presents… DRIVE XV: A Tribute To Automatically For The People” – originally by R.E.M.

Thanks for listening and feel free to comment. Until next week,

Jared

Veggie tales – quite brave, but well done. I much prefer their rendition of Rock Lobster, but you know me.

It’s good but it might just be your love of the B-52s in general that pushes it over the top. I guess I need to finally get around to seeing that movie. Here’s the link:
