Kaloo, Kalay!
March is done and that means a recap of the best songs on the BCOL!
Going over the setlists is always a great way to spend some time and even reawakens some forgotten tracks of weeks gone by. Yes, even last week I might forget what I played.
A mix of heroic pop songs, old favourites and new awesomeness which helps get rid of March and welcomes April and all the greatness which it has to have, because if it doesn’t then I’m done with April for good.
The Lotus show last Tuesday was incredible as usual and if they are coming to a town near you, go to the show. I’m going to try to meet up with them in NYC to catch another show which is at the historic Bowery Ballroom and promises to be another winning time.
Enough banter, on to the music…
Give me a T! Give me a RACKLIST! What does that combine to create?
Velvet Underground – Foggy Notion
the apples in stereo – energy
tinted windows – kind of girl
Guided By Voices – Glad Girls
Bishop Allen – Rain – The Broken String
The Unicorns – Tuff Ghost
Okkervil River – Singer Songwriter – The Stand-ins
Great Lake Swimmers – Pulling On A Line – Lost Channels
The New Pornographers – Hey, Snow White
Tilly and the Wall – Urgency – Bottoms of Barrels
Yim Tim Tam – To each his own weasel
Belle and Sebastian – Sukie In the Graveyard
The Approachables – Baignoire Blache
Joel Plaskett – Through & Through & Through – 3

See you next year March, you old salty bastard!
