Hmm, an all hip-hop episode might be the last thing you expect from a white guy that grew up on a farm in the Canadian prairies, but here we are. Due to Karim and Tyrone’s refusal to play any hip-hop, this is what I’m reduced to so we here at SilentTalkie.com can bring you the beats and rhymes. I’ve tried not to repeat any of the songs I’ve used in past episodes, so here’s 9 fresh tracks:
Rootbeer – Pink Limousine (from Pink Limousine EP, you can download this track at http://www.pigeonjohn.com/)
John Reuben – Do Not (from Are We There Yet)
Poems (AKA Sharlok Poems) – See It (from Blooming Sounds)
Flobots – Handlebars (DJ Shadow Remix) (from Handlebars 7″)
G.R.I.T.S. – Sippin’ Some Tea (from Dichotomy B)
Beat Rabbi & Deepspace 5 – Deepspace 5oul (from Deepspace5soul)
Shad – Compromise (from The Old Prince)
Pigeon John – Freaks! Freaks! (feat. DJ Rettmatic) (from … And The Summertime Pool Party)
Pneumatics – Right Rear Damage (from Third & Inches)
As always, thanks for listening and comments/feedback are appreciated.

If you ever do a classic hiphop show, I hearby request “The Message”!
Another good John Reu song would be “Move”.
Also, can we expect more themed shows from you? Perhaps an electronica or alt-country show?

What about a gregorian chant themed show? Or a show-tunes theme show?

I’m not sure about more themed shows. I’ve considered doing shows dedicated to particular artists but nothing has been planned out. An old school show would be fun but I think it’s been done to death already. I don’t really have anything new to add to the subject (unless I use a lot of SFC and PID), although The Message is a great song and deserves to be heard more.
Also, I forgot to thank Dalton for a couple requests.
