For a guy who’s form of rebellion is not shaving for a week and showing up 5 minutes late to church on Sunday, you might be surprised that I went through a rather lengthy phase of listening to punk music. Well, maybe not surprised but hopefully that piqued your curiosity. I’ve gone back a few years to a couple old standards before punks merged with emo kids and destroyed both genres. Here’s the playlist:
Dropkick Murphys – Cadence To Arms from “Do Or Die”
Dead Kennedys – Holiday In Cambodia from “Fresh Fruit For Rotting Vegetables”
Bad Religion – 21st Century Digital Boy from “Against The Grain”
MxPx – The Late Great Snowball Fight of 2006
The New Pornographers – The Slow Descent Into Alcoholism from “Mass Romantic”
Elbow – Running To Stand Still from “War Child – Heroes, Vol. 1″
Arcade Fire – No Cars Go from “Arcade Fire”
Michael Knott – Halo from “Life Of David”
As always, thanks for listening and comments/feedback are appreciated.
