Gentlemen, Ladies, Scholars, Lepers: lend me your ears… actually, lepers can actually do that. GROSS!!!
Welcome to this Wednesday special edition of BCOL… why is it special? Because it is. Listen!
This week, I’ve taken the advice of my wife and added some pop to the mix. I don’t mean Britianna Aguimberlake pop, I mean indie pop, lo-fi pop and hi-fi pop. Perfect for a Wednesday. If only there was a song about humps to add…alas.
To make matters better, I’ve added a song from my ol’ pals The Approachables now of about 27 different bands. Back in the day, at the dawn of this new millenium, The Approachables rocked the KW region with awesomeness and music, but also style. So, listen to history kids. It’s alive!
Oh and just a quick FYI: The levels on this show are wacko-bananas… I’m sorry.
If a tracklist falls in a bottomless pit, it dies of starvation… except this one would live forever:
the apples in stereo – energy
tinted windows – kind of girl
Jesus and Mary Chain – Far Gone and Out
The Stone Roses – I Am The Resurrection
Belle and Sebastian – Sukie In the Graveyard
Architecture in Helsinki – Wishbone
The Approachables – Baignoire Blache
Eric’s Trip – Girlfriend
The Feelies – Raised Eyebrows
Flake Music – Spanway Hits
The Vaselines – Jesus Wants Me For A Sunbeam
Yo La Tengo – Cherry Chapstick
The Unicorns – Tuff Ghost
Guided By Voices – Glad Girls
The New Pornographers – Hey, Snow White
The Minders – Don’t You Stop
Velvet Underground – Foggy Notion
Kablam!
